I am OVER THE MOON to share with you that I will be teaching a five-day workshop entitled Burlesque as Medicine this spring at the Omega Institute!
Burlesque is the art of the striptease, a dance-based expression of sacred, sensual, feminine power that honors the body as a unique vessel of mirth, beauty, and spirit. Using burlesque as the foundation for this workshop, we learn how to get out of our own way and dance our truth no matter our stage in life. This workshop is for anyone tired of feeling held back from their own authentic self-expression and ready to try something new.
This retreat teaches the history and moves of burlesque with experiential learning and a variety of movement, breath, and creative self-inquiry exercises that enable us to:
Create new perspectives and possibilities within our lives
Experience belonging, innocence, and empowerment
Re-educate fear, shame, and judgment with intentional, deep love
Set healthy boundaries to reject lies and embrace truth
Establish sacred tools and an embodied practice of sensuality
When we strip off our limitations, we reveal our truth in safety and love.
